Doesnt show new messages, doesnt log in. Saying problems with network!

Whenever I am on the phone with one of my foreign friends the sound will just randomly go out and we both cant hear each other, we are still connected just cant hear anything. Other than that, the app is great!

First of all, this app is the most reliable and helpful language app you could ever possibly find. Before I found Hellotalk I had tried a gazillion other ones, but none of them would impress me enough to actually want to come back and learn; this is by far my #1 choice. I learned the language way faster here than how I would in school! Overall it truly is worth investing time for this app, I personally think its better than any other language apps and definitely recommend you get this!!!

Hellotalk is a great app. It is easy to use and has many tools for aiding language learning. It has helped me greatly and I continue to use it frequently. Hellotalk has friendly staff and interesting stickers.

If you are learning a foreign language, i encourage you to get this app(: I love hellotalk.

I love this app its really cool. You can talk to people from all over the world! :) the problem I have with it is that there are limits to the amount of translations per day and you have to pay for unlimited translations. Other than that, I think this app is really awesome and useful if you want to practice another language. :)

This is probably THE best app for language learning. **Note to developers: for the next update, please fix the app so that users can access the "navigation toolbar" while messaging and while the phone is turned horizontally (wide screen mode). This would allow users to navigate and hit the "back button" to return to the "Conversations" list/screen after messaging an individual.

I have never came across any app as amazing as HelloTalk. I went from having 0 Korean friends, to more than 50 (and counting). After only 3 months, my Korean has approved dramatically compared to everything Ive gathered throughout my past 10 years of watching Korean dramas and variety shows. These days, Im able to write, read, spell, talk, listen, and hold a decent conversation with many natives. Best of all, the voice calling and video chatting functions are free! I voice call at least five language partners each week. Not only was I able to learn the language, I also received so much help from my friends who are willing to become my tour guides, find me a place to stay, and even treat me to Korean meals. I couldnt be any happier. My first tip: If you could reply to someone, please do so, it will only take less than 1 minute. Dont wait until your inbox gets filled up with 140+ messages that you know youll never be able to respond to. It saddens the sender, and yourself (speaking from experience). My second tip: If you like your language partner, please please please get their Kakao (카카오) or LINE IDs. Sincerely!

I just downloaded it yesterday and I fell in love. It is amazing. It makes learning a foreign language that much easier!

This app is great!! Ive made so many Japanese friends and it has improved my Japanese reading and writing! Ive never come across anything inappropriate on this app. Its safe and a great way to learn about new cultures and languages! ありがとう！

When I open the app it keeps shutting down and I cant use it

I rarely write a review for an app, but when I do, it means that the app is amazing. So yes, HelloTalk is so great! I really cant get enough of that app because you can just talk to so many people (even though some are rude). The functionalities are actually pretty good. Whether you want to learn a language, meet new people or discover a culture, dont hesitate! This app is for you. It needs to be more famous! Download it, you wont be disappointed

You can learn whatever language you want here! :DDD I thought that this app would be whatever but nope it turns out it was one of my most used apps!! I was able to make a lot of friends-all for free ;)) I was able to branch out and learn many languages effectively!! Be careful of creeps...also nothing is really private on here-anyone can find you. Just get the app and youll understand what I mean!! You wont regret it!

Can you help me It not open in my iPhone Before was no problem But today

Ive been using HT for over a year for Korean. I have since made wonderful friends and I have been to Korea. They stress this is not a dating app but it happens anyway. Its hard to build a language exchanging relationship with someone that does not interest you. To learn a language you need to talk, exchange feelings and ideas. My friends are of both sexes as friendships cross the gender barrier. My only complaint is customer service is REALLY slow and not helpful but I am hoping in time they will get better.

I do love this app but they do have restrictions that may drive you out of your mind. There are certain topics you are supposed to avoid. Never mind the fact you are consenting adults who can talk about whatever the hell you want. Also if you are one of those people that likes to talk to lots of new people. If you talk to more than 20 news ones a day is a no can do. Also I have complained numerous times about these restrictions its always a polite but you can go piss off speech. If you make a friend on here and want to speak long term you definitely want to take your conversation off of hellotalk so you dont get in trouble. So anyway great app but bear in mind the restrictions may drive you crazy!

Im traveling a lot and I found my friends with this app , and I could ask them for information about where Im tending to go. So It has been so useful for me and thanks

Ive been using hello talk for a few months and I love it. Its easy to meet new people and there are so many great features that help with language. Its amazing that its free. Be warned - if youre a native English speaker learning mandarin, you will be bombarded with requests. And if youre an English troll trying to meet girls, please go somewhere else. This is a respectable app. Dont be a jerk. Find your dates elsewhere.

I noticed when translating English to French, the French pronunciation provided is way off. I would really like to use this app, but if the pronunciation of desired language is incorrect, then how am I supposed to learn?
