Language exchange on your phone or tablet. This lets you type, send voice recordings, pictures, doodles, and even call directly. What a fantastic app! Very easy to find other language learners! It took some courage to send your first language partner request, but then it just flows so easily! Partners gave me very valuable speaking advice when I went to Japan!

It just keeps getting better. There are so many useful functions and the Hellotalk team continue to develop and enhance this product. Reach a world wide audience of native speakers for your language practice. Superior voice quality in voice recordings. Voice to text conversion. Clear sentence correction functions. Save your favorite sentences. Forward voice messages to email, etc. Doodle function. Multi-message operations. I cant do without it in my daily practice.

HelloTalk is pure genius. It actually liberates users to start speaking in a foreign language regardless of the country they live. I have been hooked ever since I heard about it on Youtube. It’s amazing. This app rocks, you need to start using it TODAY.

As someone whos trying to learn French in school, I found it really hard to find resources that would fit with my level. HelloTalk has helped me out because it makes learning languages fun. Not only do you get to advance in your language but you get to meet people too, as well as learn about their cultures. I will admit that it is hard to find good language partners due to the fact that you usually need someone very advanced, but the search options are so beneficial. You can narrow it to location, language level, age etc. People on here are also very helpful, so dont be nervous to reach out. This app goes great with Duolingo, as you can advance quite well with both. I wouldnt be surprised if some people learnt conversational languages in months with these two. Great app for people trying to expand their knowledge and want a fun way to learn languages. Especially for second language learners who mightve not had the best language teacher, and happen to be in between Beginner and Intermediate like me, this was definitely a helpful resource.

Doesnt work with wifi. What the hell...?! Good app, but not worth the waaaaste of data.

App always crashes whenever I try change my profile picture other than that its great

Writing to you again. I am still having loading issues. I thought maybe it was because I had too much stuff on my iPhone, so I wiped it. And now I keep getting network issues... Please address this. This app is incredible and I have already learned a lot from people... And Id like to continue.... As well I would like to be able to refer this app to my network of friends as well.

I was chatting with language exchange partners on wechat until hellotalk was recommended to me and I moved my partners over there. you can correct text msgs directly and mistakes are clearly crossed out and you can add a comment, theres a translation function. My favourite is the ability to favourite msgs and it gets saved to notepad within hellotalk!!!! I had been doing it manually in wechat copying and pasting useful texts msgs to my iPhone notepad. the other favourite feature is the "language exchange " where you can request a language exchange of 250 or 1000 words either text or spoken . This way its lets partners be equal if there a battle between which language to use. (Some of my partners only speak English with me and not Chinese so I dont get to practice the language Im learning no matter how much I try)

great platform for language learning, easy to navigate and many useful features

Although the app was updated just yesterday, loading errors are still an issue when new messages appear. Please fix this for good

This is a good app and can be improved. Messages arrive in wrong order. sometimes one message or two arrive the next day! Online status shows wrong info.

There is no Turkish selection through the language options. Must be update!

I do practice here, learn something and teach about my languge and my culture. I think this app will be soooo popular soon.
